The ETUNC Document Ingestion Specialist

HITL Document Ingestion Specialist (DIS)

Certified humans steward your documents so the ETUNC AI Executor learns what matters—securely, ethically, and within your rules. We call this Document Stewardship and Governed Learning.

Who is a DIS?

A Document Ingestion Specialist (DIS) is a certified Human‑in‑the‑Loop professional who curates, safeguards, and prepares your documents so the ETUNC Executor can learn responsibly. The DIS is your document steward—balancing usefulness with privacy, compliance, and ethics.

Qualifications (Public Snapshot)

  • ETUNC HITL Certification (Associate → Specialist): AI literacy, bias awareness, empathy calibration.
  • Data governance & security: chain of custody, encryption, access control, corpus versioning.
  • Regulatory grounding: consent & retention under GDPR/PIPEDA/HIPAA.
  • Ethical oversight: escalation protocols, second‑reader checks, audit notes.
  • Sector fluency as needed: healthcare, legal, logistics/ops, finance.

Core Functions

  1. Discovery & Scoping – Identify documents that help the Executor serve your goals.
  2. Consent & Purpose Binding – Secure permission and bind each file to a defined purpose.
  3. Curation & Quality – Clean, structure, tag, and remove conflicts in data.
  4. Protection – Redact/anonymize, set access levels, encrypt transfer & storage.
  5. Bias & Risk Checks – Screen for imbalance or sensitive data; document mitigations.
  6. Governed Upload – Load only approved files into a versioned, auditable corpus.
  7. Review & Refresh – Schedule reviews to keep the corpus current and lawful.

How Your Documents Are Used

We avoid jargon like “data mining.” Publicly, we use clear language:

  • Teach the Executor — the AI learns your policies and preferences from a Guardian‑Curated Corpus.
  • Governed Learning — each file carries a purpose tag and use boundary; nothing is used outside your consent.
  • Document Stewardship — a certified DIS vets, protects, and approves what enters the learning set.

Enterprise Examples

Contracts, SOPs, compliance manuals, dispatch logs, invoices, customs docs, customer comms, FAQs.

Individual/Foundation Examples

Bylaws, letters of intent, ethical directives, donor guidance, medical/end‑of‑life preferences.

Safeguards You Can Rely On

  • Least‑privilege access & role separation.
  • Audit trails for every file (who, what, when, why).
  • Redaction by default for PII/PHI unless expressly needed.
  • Second‑reader oversight for sensitive or ambiguous content.
  • Right to revoke: removal requests honored and logged.
  • Drift checks: periodic reviews keep the Executor aligned over time.

Client Prep Checklist

  1. Write a short intent statement (what the Executor should do).
  2. Compile a document map (where key docs live + owners).
  3. Confirm consent authorities (who can approve usage).
  4. List retention rules (how long we may keep each category).
  5. Flag sensitive items (extra caution or exclusions).

FAQ

Can I exclude files?
Yes. Exclusions are captured in the consent record and enforced by purpose tags and access controls.

How do I revoke consent?
Submit a removal request. The DIS updates the corpus, records the action in the audit log, and triggers dependent model refresh as needed.

What if a document contains personal data?
PII/PHI is redacted or anonymized by default unless you explicitly approve limited use for a defined purpose.

Do you use my data to train other clients’ Executors?
No. Your governed corpus is isolated and purpose‑bound to your Executor only.

Outcomes

  • Guardian‑Curated Corpus™ with purpose tags, consent records, and audit logs.
  • Safer, smarter Executor that reflects your rules and stays within your boundaries.
  • Peace of mind via compliance‑ready documentation and an update plan.
